Short-Stay Apartment | Coastal Greece | Crete island
Interior Architecture , Project Management , Consultant.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a luxury short-stay apartment in coastal Greece, designed as a branded rental residence that also functions as a private home. Positioned within the growing landscape of Airbnb and high-end hospitality design, the project explores how a short-term rental apartment can maintain architectural identity, material depth, and spatial character.
In contrast to the widespread trend of neutral interiors and standardized minimalism in rental properties, the design rejects anonymity. Instead of following typical coastal or boho interior design approaches, the project introduces a controlled maximalism rooted in material-driven design, layered spatial composition, and carefully curated architectural elements.
Natural wood in multiple tones and textures defines the interior architecture. The combination of different timber finishes creates hierarchy, warmth, and visual depth, establishing a refined yet expressive atmosphere. Custom-built furniture, integrated storage, and architectural detailing enhance functionality while reinforcing a sense of permanence within a flexible apartment layout.
Color is used with precision, supporting the overall spatial identity without dominating it. Lighting design plays a central role, with layered lighting scenarios that respond to natural daylight conditions, enhancing textures and transforming the interior experience throughout the day.
Bohemian Rhapsody redefines contemporary short-stay apartment design in Greece. It proposes a new model for luxury rental interiors, where hospitality design meets residential authenticity, and where architectural character becomes a key element of the guest experience.
